One QR code for the App Store and Google Play
iPhones open your App Store page and Android phones open Google Play, from the same printed code. Free to make and test; $4 a month or $36 a year when you put it live.
Opens on iPhones. Copy it from Share on your app’s App Store page.
Opens on Android phones.
Opens on everything else: computers, iPads, other phones. Left empty, they get the App Store link, or Google Play’s if it is the only one.
App codes that keep working
Scan it with both phones
Once the code is live, scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone and check each opens the right store, before you print a batch.
Link to the store page
Use your app’s page on each store, not a download file. Store pages keep their address through every update of the app.
Say what it is for
Change the frame text under Frame to say what people get, like "Get the app". Up to 24 characters fit.
See which phones scan it
Each scan is counted by day, device and country, and the Redirects tab shows how many went to each store.
Questions
Something else? Email support@qrpine.com and a person answers.
No. A free code holds one link, so every phone opens the same page. If one store is enough, paste its link into the free generator. Picking the store for each phone takes a dynamic code: its short link checks the phone on every scan.
Your website, if you add one; otherwise the App Store link, or Google Play’s if it is your only store. iPads usually report themselves as Macs, so they cannot be told apart from computers.
Yes. Each store’s link is a rule under Redirects on the code’s page. Change it, and the next scan opens the new link.
A code that went live keeps working: it still sends each phone to its store, with the links last set. You just cannot change them until you subscribe again.
